• Mr Okraku fills the spot vacated by former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi who resigned in 2018
• Okraku led the way after the first round of voting and was a vote away from becoming the new President of the Association after the second round.
• He polled 59 votes representing 50% of votes cast with candidates needing at least 60 votes to win.
Kurt Okraku has been elected as GFA new President after George Afriyie threw in the towel in the third round of voting held in Accra.

Mr. Okraku who was an Executive Committee member and also the local Black Stars Chairman of the under the Kwesi Nyantakyi led administration.
Kurt Okraku fills the spot vacated by GFA former President Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi resigned in 2018 and currently under investigation following damning revelations against him and some other match officials in an exposé by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
