Beside the regular check on personal health declaration, Nucleic acid testing reports and other relevant files, embassies in some countries also announced requirement of a “21 day isolation statement issued by the employers” when applying for the health code before boarding.
Malaysia, starting from August 13
All personnel going to China are requested to conduct strict self-isolation at least 21 days before boarding, and sign the "Health Protection Commitment". Those who work for Chinese-funded enterprises, or travel for business trips in Malaysia, should get the "Health Protection Commitment" stamped and signed by the branch companies in Malaysia. Chinese students who want to return, need to get the "Health Protection Commitment" stamped and signed by the universities/schools. Those who had contact with COVID infected cases, should take 21 days isolation after keeping away from the infected cases completely.
Iran, starting from August 8
Personnel from Chinese-funded enterprises in Iran who will return by commercial flights, must take quarantine for 21 days in advance. Relevant personnel must upload the isolation certificates issued by the companies when applying for the health code. Other Chinese citizens in Iran should also take self-isolation for 21 days in accordance with the above requirements.
Nigeria, starting from September 3
All personnel going to China from Nigeria are requested to conduct strict self-isolation at least 21 days before boarding. Personnel of enterprises in Nigeria (including state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, joint ventures, etc.) must get “Certificates of completing 21-day quarantine” issued by their companies, and the certificates must contain the information of the personnel going to China (names, passport numbers, local and domestic Mobile phone numbers), quarantine time and location, health status during quarantine, and the people in charge of the enterprises should sign and stamp the certificates.
Cambodia, starting from August 17
Those work for Chinese-funded enterprises and projects in Cambodia, must take self-isolation for 21 days before boarding the flights to China, including 17-day isolation organized by the enterprises, and then 4-day isolation at the designated hotels by the airlines.
Botswana, starting from August 10
All personnel who intend to return to China must take quarantine for at least 21 days before boarding. Employees are required to submit "Certificate of 21-day quarantine" issued by the employers, and those who do not have fixed jobs must fill in and sign the "Declaration of self-quarantine for 21 days" by themselves. The quarantine certificates should be uploaded when applying for health code.
Zambia, starting from August 10
All personnel who intend to return to China shall conduct isolation for at least 21 days in advance before boarding. The enterprises must issue "21-day quarantine certificate”for the employees; Individuals who don’t have fixed jobs, must fill in and sign the "Declaration of Self-Isolation for 21 Days" by themselves. The quarantine certificates should be submitted when applying for the health code.
Mali, starting from August 8
Personnel from Chinese-funded enterprises who travel to China, will need to take isolation for 21 days instead of 14 days. Nucleic acid and serum IgM and IgG antibody tests are requited on the 22nd day before departure. If the results are negative, passengers will then start home isolation for 21 days. The personnel need to fill in the “Certificate of quarantine” before and after the quarantine and send to the embassy mailbox firstname.lastname@example.org, together with the test reports.
