In the early hours of April 9, the Liwan police found Deng (male, 42 years old, living in Liwan District, Guangzhou) who spreaded the rumor.

Deng explained, he heard unconfirmed information in his community and sent the information in his family WeChat group on the morning of April 7.


He intended to remind his family to take care of themselves, and did not expect the information was widely disseminated by the family in social media. After being educated by the police, Deng and his family realized their mistake and have deleted the relevant information.
